Customer case study
HALDEX, an equipment supplier specializing in braking systems for heavy-duty trailers, was looking to modernize and improve its technical training in Europe. With a network of agents and technicians spread across several countries, the company was looking to standardize and enrich its training program, while introducing a new electronic braking system.
Challenge
The main challenge was the diversity of braking systems, and the need to train technicians on complex variants under tight deadlines. Previously, HALDEX had used in-house mock-ups that were limited in number and functionality, making large-scale deployment and training adaptations difficult. The need was therefore to design a transportable, interactive solution that could be easily installed in different contexts, notably on customer sites.
Solution
HALDEX selected ANNECY ÉLECTRONIQUE to develop an adapted teaching model. This choice was based on the reputation of ANNECY ELECTRONIQUE and its Exxotest® brand products in the automotive sector, its ability to understand complex needs and its responsiveness.
The model, designed in close partnership with HALDEX, met the following requirements:
- Transportability Easily installed in a meeting room or at a customer site.
- Interactivity integration of visual elements, pressure gauges and devices for live demonstrations.
- Modularity Modularity: extensions can be added to include other braking systems or interactions with motor vehicles.
Results
- Rapid implementation The model was up and running right from the start, confirming its ease of installation and configuration.
- Increased participant engagement The interactive elements aroused keen interest among trainees, encouraging them to explore, manipulate and understand the systems.
- Improved pedagogy The visual and tactile support has helped guide the trainers’ explanations, making the courses clearer and more effective.
Customer testimonial
According to HALDEX’s product specialist, the project benefited from a smooth collaboration with ANNECY ÉLECTRONIQUE, thanks to an immediate understanding of requirements and rigorous follow-up at every stage. The trainers and technicians praised the ergonomics and pedagogical relevance of the model.
Outlook
HALDEX is already considering further developments, such as the addition of modules for more advanced systems, or extensions to include interaction with motor vehicles. These developments should further enhance the impact of their technical training courses.
